100 Word Challenge- Week 32

Rose had a very unlucky life. Something always went wrong. One day, Rose woke up to get ready for her friend’s party. She excitedly got dressed, brushed her teeth, and ate breakfast. The first unlucky thing that happened was that she was leaving out the back door, when she ran smack into her transparent sliding door. Rose was really mad, but had to keep going. Then, her little brother fell off of his scooter and started crying. She calmed him down, and then left. On her way to the party, Rose’s present for her friend fell into muddy water. She wiped off the bag, but had to keep going. Finally, Rose arrived 30 minutes late. Her friend asked, “Why you so late?” “You don’t even want to know.”

100 Word Challenge- Week 30

Gerald was having a sleepover at his cousin’s house when he heard a strange noise outside. It was only 2 AM, but he still got up, into his slippers, and walked outside. When Gerald was outside, he turned in the direction of a strange noise from the trampoline. It sounded like jumping and … laughing. Gerald was really confused. Then, he walked over and found three raccoons jumping on the trampoline and squeaking with joy! Gerald just couldn’t stop laughing. He called his cousin, and together they jumped on the trampoline until morning, when the raccoons had to go back to sleep.

100 Word Challenge- Week 29

There once was an museum that was magical. Only a few people could see the entrance to the wonderland. To get to the museum, you had to visit a zoo. At the giraffe exhibit, you had to visit the keeper, and say the codeword, “greasy giraffe.” The keeper would then bring you into a tunnel to the museum. When you got to the museum, there were many exhibits. One was a brown salt parrot statue that could grant wishes. Another exhibit was a globe of sugar. If you touched any place on it, you would be melted and transported to the place. This museum disappeared because no one had enough imagination to feed it. But maybe it will come back one day.

Blogging Reflection

This year, I participated in the Student Blogging Challenge and the 100 Word Challenge. I wrote 12 posts for the Student Blogging Challenge and the 100 Word Challenge. I had 37 comments from people from all around. I enjoyed writing my post about my traditions in Week 7 because I got to share what I do every year. I used a ClustrMap to show who visited my blog during this time. My favorite part of blogging was seeing where people came from around the world on the ClustrMap. Throughout the challenge, my posts got better and longer. This summer, I might post once in a while. This was a really fun and global experience. I hope I can do it next year!

100 Word Challenge- Week 28

One day Ruby woke up from her sleep, but when she opened her eyes and looked around, she was confused. Ruby did not know where she was! Her family was gone, and outside her window, there were giant bats walking around. They had large sharp teeth and looked very hungry! Ruby screamed and the bats heard her. They started chasing her, and she ran away. When Ruby looked back, they were not there anymore. Ruby could only hear the pant pant pant of her own breathing. Suddenly, a whooshing noise filled the air and the bats came in to view again. She was about to run away when she realized that it was a dead end. She had nowhere to go…
