Student Blogging Challenge: Week 9

I recently went on a blog at:

http://panamawildlife.edublogs.org/.

I enjoyed the blog and wanted to recommend it to people. I am recommending Micah’s blog because it has many facts about animals from his country, Panama. It is very interesting and educational. The pictures that he puts with his posts are very cool and flow with what he is writing about. You should definitely visit Micah’s blog.

Student Blogging Challenge: Week 8

My family lives in Pennsylvania in Eastern United States. Pennsylvania has about 13 million people. The capital city is Harrisburg, but Philadelphia more well known. Most people speak English. Pennsylvania has a mild climate and is humid. It is the second state of the USA. It has mountains, farmland, and cities. Pennsylvania is a really interesting and cool state that you should definitely come and visit!

Student Blogging Challenge: Week 7

Easter

I am Catholic, so at every Easter we have special traditions. On Holy Thursday, my family goes to Mass and visits seven churches at night in Philadelphia. It can get very tiring! On Good Friday, we go to a service at my church. We read the Passion when Jesus was killed. We do nothing on Holy Saturday, except for going to the Easter Vigil at 8pm. We have dinner right before the Vigil. On Easter, we wake up, walk to the bagel store, and have brunch. Then, we search for our hidden Easter baskets, and look for the plastic eggs filled with change that my brother and dad hide in our yard. Later, we have a big dinner with friends and family. One year at Easter, my family found four baby bunnies in a flower pot on our patio. It was really funny! Easter is a super fun holiday, and it is one of my favorites.

Music is very beautiful. It plays a big part in my life. One of my sisters plays the violin, and my other sister plays the piano. I play the trumpet. My favorite kinds of  music is from the 70s and the 80s. I also like classical music. I made a song on Google’s Song Maker. It is really fun to make songs on this website. Below is a hyperlink to my song:

100 Word Challenge-Week 27

Once upon a time, a very rude boy named Tom was at a picnic. Nearby in the park he was in, there was a woman at a stand. “Come pick one of my magical fruits.” Tom was interested, so he walked over. He grabbed a fruit, bit into it, and said, “It is really delicious, but it is the wrong color!” The fruit was purple! The woman said, “You are a rude boy!” All of a sudden, Tom started swirling around and seeing all of the things he ever did wrong. He was so ashamed. Then, Tom was sitting on his blanket in the park again. The magical woman had disappeared, and Tom was never rude ever again.

Our specials, which we have each once a week, are Technology, Art, Gym, Spanish, and Music class. Our subjects are religion, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. We have lunch and a recess on our big playground. Our classes our all 48 minutes long. Most of the kids at our school come on school buses. Our school has about 275 students from grades PreK-3 to 8th Grade. I really like learning at my school.
