Chicago

Every summer, my family visits the city of Chicago. It is really fun and cool. All of my extended family lives there. Some places that you can visit there are the Willis (Sears) Tower, Millenium Park, and Navy Pier. The Willis Tower used to be one of the tallest buildings in the world. You can climb it very high and experience the beautiful view of Chicago. Millenium Park is huge. There are many parts of it including a big performance stage, gardens, fountains, the Bean statue, and a cool bridge connecting Millenium Park to Maggie Daley Park. Maggie Daley Park is a fun playground with many big slides, swings, rock climbing, a small water park, and other fun things for kids to do. Finally, Navy Pier is a 3,300-feet-long pier outstretching into Lake Michigan with amusement rides, museums, restaurants, and other fun attractions. You should definitely go visit this great city of Chicago!

    • Hey Sanjna,
Thanks for checking out my blog! I really like your Two Truths and a Lie game. Have you ever tried playing it while talking about yourself? It’s really fun. What’s your favorite place to go in Chicago? Thanks again!

      • My favorite place is a actually Downtown Chicago. All the places to eat and see. The feel of it, when going to the right places, is overall pleasant. I go with my family!

I can do a Two Truths and a Lie game about myself, thanks for the suggestion!

    • Hey Ally
The weather in Chicago can be super cold in the winter. This year, it was in the negative 20s! Also it can get pretty hot in the summer.
      Thanks

  3. Hi Isabelle,

What a great description of Chicago! I wish I could visit that city. I technically was in Chicago once because I had a layover at the airport, but I don’t think that really counts. I saw that Sanjina wrote about going to the top of the Sears Tower. I had been to the top of the World Trade Center before it tragically came down. The Willis/Sears tower is listed as the 17th tallest in the world now. Here is a list of the top 25. Many of them are in Asia but several are in the US. https://www.archdaily.com/779178/these-are-the-worlds-25-tallest-buildings Chicago actually has 2 buildings in the top 25!

Thanks for sharing cool facts about Chicago!
    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Ruffing
